The In HIMM Ministry offers support for children who have special considerations and their families.

Our main focus is providing one on one workers for our In HIMM kids during the weekend programming.

Our dream for kids with special considerations is that they would discover that everyone has a place in the Church regardless of any challenges they face! The main focus of In HIMM is to provide one-on-one workers for kids who need a bit of extra help to focus and thrive during our weekend programming. We also offer support for families as we know how intense life can be when our kids have special considerations. Finally, we resource our ministries to help them to be as effective as possible in reaching ALL children with the amazing Good News about Jesus!

If you have a child with special considerations, and particularly if your child has an EA at school, then please contact us to see is it would be helpful for them to have extra support during church programming. We provide one-on-one workers on a first-come first-served basis as opposed to giving priority to the greatest needs and we often have a waiting list. We want to help every child, but we also know that the greatest help will come with a consistent one-on-one worker and we work hard to keep volunteer-child relationships consistent. As such, we request that parents who are interested in registering their child with the In HIMM Ministry commit to attending the same service every weekend, as well as to regular communication with their child’s one-on-one worker.

If you are interested in finding out more information, getting your child on the waiting list or joining our awesome In HIMM volunteer team, please fill out an In HIMM Contact Card, talk to your child’s pastor, or email Cindy Rempel at InHIMM@mysouthland.com.
