Adult Cell Groups

Cell-Ministry-Logo-for-WebCell groups at Southland are all about relationship.  The entire reason Cells exist – our very motivation – is to help people grow in personal relationship with Jesus as supported within the relationships of community.  We have cells so that together we can “encourage (admonish, exhort) one another and edify (strengthen and build up) one another….”  1 Thessalonians 5:11 (AMP)

Scripture tells us we should be meeting together regularly, and that is the strength that a cell group can offer.  Hebrews 10:25 says, “And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”

We have many cells that meet in homes, but the first place to get involved in a cell group at Southland is to come to the Connect Cell.  Connect Cell runs on Thursday nights at Southland and is an introductory cell group led by our Cell Pastor, Ray Yoder.  There are several small groups at Connect Cell, representing different life stages and demographics (men, women, young married, etc.) who all meet in one room around tables as Ray guides the evening.  This is a non-threatening atmosphere where you can get to know a small group of people, and begin to grow spiritually alongside each other.  Eventually, the small groups that start at Connect Cell turn into full-fledged Cell Groups that transition into meeting in homes instead of at the church.
