What is an Encounter God Retreat?
An Encounter God Retreat is a weekend set aside to meet with Jesus. At this retreat we focus on learning how to deal with the hurts, hang-ups and struggles that we all face on a daily basis.
Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, then you really are my disciples and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free” (John 8:31-32 NIV).
At the Encounter God Retreat, we seek this freedom that Jesus offers.
When is the next Encounter God Retreat?
Who can go to an Encounter God Retreat?
Wherever you are in your walk, and if you are 16 years or older, we encourage you to attend! Those under 18 need a parent to fill out and sign a permission form available at the information Centre.
What is the schedule of the weekend?
Sign-in is on Friday at 5:00pm at Southland Church with dinner immediately following. The first session begins after dinner. After the sessions on Friday, participants go home/hotel for the night and are asked to be on time for the first Saturday session at 8am (breakfast not included). The Encounter runs until Saturday evening with lunch and dinner provided.
Please plan to attend the entire retreat.
What is the cost of the retreat and where is it held?
The Encounter will be held at Southland Church. The cost of the retreat is $50 (incl. taxes) per person. This includes three hot meals and retreat materials. Full payment of $50 is due when you register in order to secure your spot. There is a $25 non-refundable fee if you require cancellation.
What do I need to bring?
You will need to bring your Bible, a notebook, a pen. Above all, bring a heart that is willing to be ministered to by the Lord Himself!
What do I do next if I would like to go?
Sign-up by completing an Encounter God Registration Form in person or online by clicking here. Register at the Information Centre on the weekend or at the church office during the week.
