Freedom House is redemption-focused and community-based. These aspects work together to create an environment where people can take huge strides forward in their path to freedom.
We believe that it is through Jesus that we find our healing. Our desire is to help those who feel stuck in destructive and/or disabling patterns to think and act in new ways. New ways built on engaging with Jesus and others, while walking out a life of repentance from sin and experiencing healing from woundedness.
We were neither made to be alone, nor to make it on our own. By committing to one year in the house you will have the opportunity to form positive relationships and healthy lifelong habits. The supportive structure of the house provides intentional accountability to help you work toward the goals you desire to achieve.
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then,
and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."
What to Expect
Participants of Freedom House live together in a dorm-like setting, and do day-to-day life together. This structure provides a safe, relational environment, that promotes vulnerability, accountability, and fun within a Godly community. The one-year program includes multiple facets of the healing journey that include the Path to Freedom Workshop and a weekly Worship Night.
A key part of Freedom House is not just being involved in the house, but with the church as a whole. This includes attending weekend services, Prayer Summits, and retreats, as well as other church-wide events.
Path to Freedom
Path to Freedom Workshop is a year-long workshop where participants begin a redemptive journey of repentance and healing, through daily devotions, book studies, weekly lessons, and sharing in a group setting.
Freedom House is in the heart of Steinbach. The facility has two floors, one for men and one for women. Each floor has a common room with a communal kitchen, dining area, and living room. There are also laundry facilities on-site, and a prayer/quiet room.
Our team, led by Pastor Ray Yoder and Director Marlene Loeppky, is dedicated to working with you as you go through the year. Each team member has been through significant struggles of their own and ministers from a place of compassion and understanding. We are also completely “confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6 (NIV)
"I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord."
