Irvin Funk and his wife Marilyn have attended Southland since 2004. They were married in 1981 and have been blessed with three married children and 8 grandchildren. Irvin and Marilyn love spending time outdoors as well as having their annual “staycation” at their house in the summertime, which the grandchildren especially enjoy. Irvin is both a business owner and an active member of the Marketplace Leaders group and Cell Ministry. Irvin is passionate about being outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, camping, and snowmobiling.
His favourite passage of scripture is Micah 6:8, which says, “What does the Lord require of you? To truly live justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with my God.” Irvin says, “I love the fact that Jesus speaks to us through His Holy Spirit. He has not left us alone to do things on our own. He is available 24/7/365 and is ready to talk with, guide, and direct me. He truly is functional Lord!”
Irvin joined the Board of Elders in 2013 and currently serves as Board Chair.
